The purpose of this assignment is to provide you with an opportunity to practice evaluating statistics.

For economics of higher education, minimum wage, and fair tax do the following:

1. For each article, identify three ways that the statistics are (or might be) deceptive
2. Explain how each deception influences whether the reader will agree with the author’s

conclusion

For credit card fraud statistics do the following:

1. Assume that you are writing to convince people to buy fraud insurance. Provide three examples of how you could use these statistics in a deceptive way to convince the reader to buy fraud insurance.
2. Correct your examples from part 1 to show three examples of how to use the statistics in a non-deceptive way to convince the reader to buy fraud insurance.
