There are many kinds of teaching programs for languages, but all of them fall within three basic approaches: the traditional deductive approach, the natural inductive approach, and the programmed interactive approach.
- The Traditional Deductive Approach
This approach to teaching language involves presenting fundamentals (noun, vocabulary, and rules of syntax, verb paradigms, et cetera) in a systematic and logical manner. This could be done with workbook, textbook, notes or lectures or nay other combination thereof. Student is expected to memorize the factors and they rare tested with composition and translation Ecorse. This approach is effective to the degree it is comprehensive, clear and digestible. But it has become less digestible to the modern culture products that are not trained to think systematically or deductively.
- The Natural Inductive Approach
Under approach the student is plunged into selected readings in the languages and supplementing it with assistance in grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and syntax. This approach has worked with children when they are learning their native language and has been found to have varying success rate when carried out in adults (where it has succeeded in teaching adults conversational ability with the foreign languages but has been less success in giving them firmer and deeper grasp of intricate of the foreign language.
- The Programmed Interactive Approach
This has been proved to be most effective and less painful method of teaching languages. Under this approach teacher asks the students a question, students give a response then the teacher confirms whether the student is right or wrong (after which the student is correct). This approach helps to stimulate synthetic and analytic skills. This process repeated and proponent and clues are withdrawn gradually then the reviews are added to the program. Under this approach the student is allowed to learn at their own speed when the skills and facts become mind habits and material is mastered.
