Video Review; Schools in Japan
The video School’s In Japan showcases exciting aspects of the Japanese society by depicting how students, while they are still in school, are taught to be responsible. In their schools, learning is not all about books, the atmosphere is set up in a way that children should learn to carry themselves out by learning values such as sharing, leadership, discipline, communication, and organizations. The movie arouses ones interesting in wanting to learn more about this culture and probably extrapolate these trends in understanding the Japanese and oneself. The movie unravels how societal norms play an important role to how we will act in future.
Maybe much more of how we behave boils down to all those aspects we learnt from those people that were around us when we were young. Maybe this why we are so different from other people since we had a leeway to do certain actions while our friends were not allowed to do the same. Looking at the video, I am intrigued to remember how I was taught by my parent to respect other people in the society regardless of their race, color or age. My parents made it clear that the actions I take will reflect back later in my life and that by being kind, I will receive more kindness. Today, I can attest to this as most of my friends are people that have gone through the same experiences as I and they always say how these experiences have played an essential role in shaping how they behave. I believe children at such a young age is an essential aspect that explains how they will behave in future.
